Unless you've been sleeping under a bridge for the past month, it
should come as no shock to you that the biggest news story on the
planet today is the release of the 3G iphone. Last night the tech world went crazy as the first iphone apps were launched. (nice marketing move by Apple to start the frenzy the night before the launch).

In other news of note -- highly significant to those of us in the social media world -- The Guardian is buying PaidContent for $30M. Congrats to Rafat, Staci, and the team at PaidContent.
Fantastic
story of new media tried-and-true journo's who perservered (at it for 6
years) and created one of the first must-read new media websites. And,
in The Guardian, they've got a great partner who really "gets it."
